Site Tour: Hotel Van Zandt

January 28, 2016

There’s a new boutique hotel in Austin. Hotel Van Zandt (a Kimpton hotel) opened for business in late 2015. Located in the heart of Austin’s Rainey Street District, it’s the perfect blend of modern sophistication and edginess that the Live Music Capital of the World is known for.

It’s named after the legendary Van Zandt family, so it’s no surprise that this boutique hotel has a very prominent music vibe throughout it. From the burnt orange leather flooring near the front desk (their nod to The University of Texas at Austin) to the quirky paintings to the subtle bat design in the wallpaper in their grand ballroom, they nailed it.

Hotel Van Zandt features 319 guest rooms, a 24-hour fitness center, a rooftop pool and bar, cruiser bikes to borrow and of course…live music. And in true Kimpton-style your furry family members are always welcome. This will easily become a new favorite for travelers (and even locals).

Need a place to host your next meeting or event? They’ve got that covered as well. With over 12,000 square feet of flexible space, whatever you need space for…you’ll find it there.

  • Business meetings. There are 11 dedicated meeting rooms. Whether your meeting is small or large, if you’re looking for a unique space to host your meeting, then this is it.
  • Conferences. With free Wi-Fi located throughout the hotel and flexible meeting space, this will be a great spot for a conference.
  • Weddings. The 5,240 square-foot ballroom is perfect for a wedding. Guests can stay at the hotel and when the reception is over, they are just a few steps away from Austin’s nightlife.
  • Social events. This is not just a great spot for weddings. If you’re hosting a fundraiser, shower or small get together then it’s a good location for those events as well.

In short, Hotel Van Zandt is a great new addition to Austin’s growing hotel community. It’s perfect for business travelers, event planners and corporate clients looking for a unique Austin hotel.
